We offer a variety of solar panels to be able to accommodate your objectives and budget.
Solar panels, also known as photovoltaic panels, are not all the same. While they all operate using layers of silicon and collect charged electrons to convert to electricity, each type has its own benefits and price points. At 3 Guys Solar, LLC, it is our job to properly design your solar energy system based on your specific needs and objectives. You can count on us for quality materials, including a variety of solar panels, properly installed with a reliable racking system and quality inverter.
We are quite proactive when it comes to selecting solar panels. Rather than become heavily stocked in a brand or model that could become obsolete before we used them, each quarter we seek out those solar panels available that offer the best efficiency, performance life, aesthetics, and power. Typically, the base models are Axitec or Q Cell, but we are not limited to these. There are upgrades available for LG, Canadian Solar, and Solaria Power, among others, that we also consider.
As for inverters, the one we most commonly use is SolarEdge because of their easy monitoring system. However, we also offer SMA Sunny Boy, which some people prefer because it offers an SPS plug. It doesn’t require monitoring, as it acts as an emergency plug powered by solar. We also offer upgrades to the inverter, such as Emphase and the option of EV charging, which is powered by SolarEdge. IronRidge is the go-to racking system we use, unless you have a tile or flat roof, in which case we have other options that are ideal for those roofing types.
FAQs About Solar Panels
At 3 Guys Solar, LLC, we truly enjoy answering questions about solar panels and welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge about solar energy and what your family can gain by having solar panels installed at your Orlando, Florida home. You are free to reach out with any questions you might have, but we thought we would share two common ones about solar panels to get you started.
How many solar panels will there be on my home’s roof?
That all depends on how much solar energy you wish to generate and what your budget for the project is. We are happy to perform a home energy audit and discuss what you can expect based on your objectives. We can use our special software to add solar panels to your roof while you watch, so you can have a basic, preliminary solar report early in the process.
Can all homes have solar panels added to the roof?
Most, but not all. We are very good at installing solar panels on a variety of roof types, but we do have to check to be sure that your roof is in good condition and can handle the weight of the solar panels. If we find an issue, we let you know what you’ll need to discuss with your roofing company to get your home ready for solar panels. There can also be other issues, such as HOA regulations and permitting issues, but we will do everything we can to help you move forward.
